Welcome!

Hi! I’m Stefanie Ignoffo, a plant interventionist, founder of Plantspiration® NFP Inc., and a licensed Food For Life Instructor with The Physicians Committee For Responsible Medicine. I advocate and promote Lifestyle Medicine by educating, motivating, and inspiring people to adopt a plant-based vegan lifestyle in order to prevent and reverse health issues including: heart disease, type 2 diabetes, certain cancers, autoimmune disorders, obesity, and chronic illness.

8 out of the top 10 diseases in the United States are preventable and reversible by adopting a plant-based lifestyle.

In January of 2013 I transitioned my family to a plant-based lifestyle. Since then I have lost 100 pounds and effortlessly keep it off! As a family we have lost 250 pounds combined, reversed diseases, and gained our lives back all by going plant-based! The best part is we still get to eat all the favorite flavors, foods, and cuisines we loved and desired before, we just use new ingredients! I am glad you are here to join the plant-based movement! Services

I offer Food For Life Nutrition Education and cooking classes for  groups  of 5 or more.  Employee Wellness programs, one on one sessions and consultations. I work with families,  groups and corporate settings to achieve optimum health and wellness.

   I host nutrition education seminars and lectures advocating and  bringing awareness to the public about the correlation of food and disease and the importance and benefits of a plant-based vegan lifestyle.

My Story

In 2012 one of my teenage daughters came home declaring she was going vegan. My first response: “That is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard and you are going to die of malnutrition and protein deficiency!” I figured I would just let her go along with this “fad”.

I was concerned and worried about the long term effects of not eating meat and dairy, so I decided to do a little research to prove just how unhealthy my daughter’s choices were, but what I found was quite the opposite. Not only can you thrive on a plant-based vegan diet, science has proven that a plant-based diet is the only diet known to prevent and reverse disease. It also happens to be the most sustainable way to live. As a family we watched a documentary called Forks Over Knives. I immediately changed my entire perception of health, diet, my family, and what I put on their plates. After learning about the detrimental health effects that consuming animal causes to our health, I decided not to bring any more animal or animal products into my home. With my family alongside me, we discovered the healthiest, most affordable, and most delicious way to obtain optimum health and wellness was by adopting a Whole Food Plant-Based Diet. (WFPB!)

“They won’t fit you kid, you’re just big-boned”

Big bones- we’ve all heard about this genetic reasoning behind not being a small person. I was in third grade when I failed to fit my legs into a pair of zip-up boots. “They won’t fit you kid, you are just big boned.” My relatives said that too- they said that it ran in the family. You know what else ran in the family?  Obesity, hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and chronic illness.

My Specialty

Plantspiration® is centered around our weekly group meetings and nutrition education cooking classes, but I also offer special individual services for those who desire some extra inspiration and support!
