August 4: Fueling up on Low-Fat, High-Fiber Foods
August 11: Discovering Dairy and Meat Alternative
August 18: and Cancer Fighting Compounds and Healthy Weight Control
In this 4 week Cancer series, students will enjoy cooking demonstrations, tasting delicious healthful dishes, and taking home useful class materials and recipes, all in a supportive group setting.
Food For Life Nutrition Education and Cooking Program offers the practical cooking skills needed to help you on your journey to better health! You will learn about the correlation of food and disease and power of whole food plant based when it comes to the prevention of many of the diseases that plague you or loved ones, including common cancers, and how to live a longer life even after diagnosis.
Food for Life is a community-based nutrition education program of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM). PCRM is a nonprofit organization of 12,000 doctors working together for compassionate and effective medical practice, research, and health promotion.
